The number of abortion clinics across the country has shrank by nearly one-quarter over the last five years, with 60 facilities shuttered in 2014 alone, according to new research.
A total of 551 clinics remain open nationwide, the smallest figure in more than two decades, according to a survey released Monday by the anti-abortion group Operation Rescue.
Clinic closures have spiked since the Republican wave of 2010, when the GOP took over the House and made gains in state legislatures around the country.
Since then, more than 200 new abortion rules have passed through state legislatures. The disappearance of the clinics comes as the rate of abortions nationwide continues its decades-long decline.
This comes on the heels of a CBS News Poll from August shows that 60% of Americans believe abortion should either be not permitted at all or only available under stricter limits than currently exist.
Feminists assume that the only Americans opposed to abortion are those evil old white men, but it just isn't true. As the Center for American Women and Politics tells us, "Since 1971, the number of women serving in state legislatures has more than quintupled."
As Americans become more educated about the horrific realities of abortion, they are rejecting it in greater numbers. Pro-Abortion activists aren't doing themselves any favors, as they become more shrill and cold blooded. The more these loons do things like post video of their child's murder online or defend the evil practices of psychopaths like Kermit Gosnell, the more reasonable people recoil.
Liberals love to scream about Human Rights. With a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, 2015 is poised to be a great year for protecting the most basic human right; the right to life.
